Has anyone in U.S. ever purchased tickets on Kam Air (RQ) which flies, among other places, between DXB-KBL? I am getting conflicting information on whether they require paper tickets or are able to do electronic ticketing. Also, are any TAs in the U.S. able to issue tickets on that airline? (Amex Platinum says it cannot.) The TA on its website is located in Canada and says one must first make an on-line booking, and it will then send confirmation for electronic ticketing. This sounds very unusual to me and a scenario I have never encountered. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Apparently no one on this board flies Kam Air, but after more telephone calls and research, I believe I have the answers. :D If anyone is interested, send me a pm.

I have flown RQ, round-trips from DXB-KBL and from KBL-HEA (Herat, Afghanistan). I found it to be a perfectly decent airline.
I purchased the tickets from a travel agent in Dubai or Kabul and picked up paper tickets. I am interested in your experience, however. When I was last at KBL, they seemed to have no computers whatsoever -- e.g., the luggage tags were manual -- so I doubt that they could have accommodated e-tickets. This seems surprising, given that the airport has been sort of re-built, and some semi-legitimate carriers -- namely, Indian Airlines (now Air India), Pakistan International, as well as Kam Air -- fly there.
