Korean Air Skypass - Does KE REALLY fly cradle seats in J all the way to PRG??

According to Seatguru, KE only fly one type of A330 with "standard seats" in business class offering 41-42" pitch. ITAsoftware says the equipment they fly to PRG is an A330. Does a Prestige Class (that's one modest product name!) passenger really have to make do for 12 hours with what essentially is a Y+ seat??
Might as well fly Aeroflot and put up with SVO again...

1) dont believe Seatguru all the time
2) The seats on KE on the A333 are good. They have a nice recline. What's else is that KE offers an excellent onboard J product in terms of food and IFE.

I can't help with info about ICN-PRG, but KE does indeed use planes with these seats on long-haul flights. ICN-YVR and much of the South Pacific come to mind. That said, I don't think these seats are awfully uncomfortable (and the pitch has to be greater than 41-42"), and I usually sleep quite well in them.

I have no idea, why KE still uses equipment for its long-haul flight that's barely competitive with other airlines' intra-Asian equipment. The seat is similar to the old AF C seat, and didn't it take them the better part of a decade to replace it?

I have been on the KE A330 a couple of times and YES they use the awful old biz seats. Pitch is probably about 42". Very tight and not much recline. There should be 2 rows of First Class on this plane. It is usually not much more $$ so I would try that if you can. Pitch is much better and recline is quite good.

Sometimes KE does not sell the first class cabin at all and you can request a seat here if you are a Skyteam Elite. That has worked for me as well.

I am looking to get it on an award booking, and First awards aren't available to non-KE members. I want to fly SEL-MAN, so will probably go via CDG instead- more hassle at the airport but better seats on either airline...

The majority of the flights to Europe should have the new seats by now.

Here's a link to the website that shows which flights have it and which don't. Its in Korean but you can match the flight #'s.

None of the 773's or A330's have upgraded seats yet that I'm aware of. Its been a very very slow process of getting the 747's and 772's upgraded so far.

According to the KE website, the following flights have the new C seat (not necessarily the new F seat - some aircraft have the old F and new C)

CDG
FRA
LHR
SVO
Tashkent
DXB

Yes the airport is a PITA but I would definitely go through CDG (or FRA) for the new C seats... 12 hours is just too long a period of time to suffer in C seats from a bygone era.
