Maybe Russia will implement something similar in 150 years or so...
Or perhaps they both could just implement a system similar to the one New Zealand has for nationals from elligible countries? (i.e free, easy and takes much less than ten minutes)

Darn - only for EU and some non EU European passport holders. Nothing for Americans.
