Thrifty - Bluechip Credits Disappear

So I was about 4 Bluechip credits away from a free day but I haven't rented from Thrifty in a while (had a number of problems at the locations I frequent). I just got an e-mail from them saying that I'm on my way to a free day! I'm only 14 credits away!

Anybody else run into this? I'm fearing Thrifty has adopted an Aeroplan-style "use 'em or lose 'em" policy but I was never e-mailed and I couldn't find any T&C's on their website.

EDIT: I found a teeny-tiny link for Terms and Conditions on the website where it says the credits expire after 12 months of non-use. So I guess from credit number one you have a year to earn a free day. I've still e-mailed them as I figure it couldn't hurt.

So does this mean the actual credit expires after 12 months?

Or all credits expire after 12 months of NOT using Thrifty?

I'm not sure. My last rental had been around December 2007 yet all my credits are gone. I'm waiting for a response and will post back once I get one. Supposed to be within 3 business days, that's a bold promise from them.
