Exciting news. I am a very happy user of a Huawei 3G modem.
Choice and options with Huawei going into the 3G google Android phone business should be good for choice with iPhone wannabes.

Hopefully the phone will be less clunky than the first Android phone by HTC.

What other options are coming out as iPhone wannabe smartphones, with enough power, speed and screen size to be used for a little web surfing on 3G and wifi networks?

I hope LG and Samsung will come out with updated Blackjack and similar smartphone/touchphone options with Android OS.

Here is the Huawei Android 3G phone story, from The Reg.

I am drunk... bugger!

Note that the . following 'The Reg' is blue and is your obscure link.
I have followed Scott's Android thread and your responses and like the eee thread, I hope that competion improves the range and options, just as we've seen with netbooks. ^

The GPS functionality is something, with open applications markets, that I think could open up some nice uses for this phone. ^
