I wonder if such a product exists...
At home I would like to have some sort of a calendar in my kitchen. When I travel I would like to update that calendar over internet. Others should also be able to edit/view the calendar over internet, but it must be on display in my kitchen.
I was thinking of some kind of photo frame solution. However, a photo frame would be too limited, since one cannot click on an entry to see more details, nor could one go backwards/forward in time (month).
Anyone seen or heard anything like this?

As sub-notebook laptops & wireless access points get smaller and cheaper, I think many of these "gadgety" type products are going to go away in favour of simply plunking down a 'computer' when you need these types of applications.
To wit:

Why buy some kind of specialized picture frame with touch screen, when you can buy a whole computer for $300 and just put it on the counter?

I concur. Just get a laptop and leave it in the kitchen. It doesn't have to be a good laptop for that functionality - any cheap or even old laptop will do.

Sounds like an ideal application for a Chumby (http://www.chumby.com). Unfortunately, the only calendar app for it that seems suitable is for Google Calendar, and it doesn't appear to have a "Month" mode.
I don't have a Chumby yet, but I've been trying to come up with a reasonable excuse to buy one ;)

Sounds like what the 3Com Audrey was supposed to do at one point (and failed). Then what the Icebox was supposed to do (and failed).
Either way, a $299 laptop would probably do the job just fine...

A Chumby with a 15" screen would have been nice...

There is a company called Cozi (http://cozi.com) that does an online based family calendar/data center. They keep multiple schedules for all different family members and make a wall to write quick notes to each other and task and reminders for things like grocery lists. I checked it out once a few year ago and just looked again now. Seems like it could be part of a solution. I think the make a desktop client/screen saver so if you have a kitchen computer you can leave it on there though still have the ability to view it from any internet source. I know they do things such as Outlook integration so it is easy to up date the calendars with events already on your schedule or to change them when times/dates change.

How about a cheap computer running Palm Desktop, or am I missing something?
I just looked at the new Asus Eee Top (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=24&l2=169&l3=0&l4=0&model=2290&modelmenu=1) computer with a 15.6" screen for around $500, which can be wall mounted. It comes with a slick look and a touch screen perfect for this. One can then as well use it for streaming tv, music, videos, audiobooks and VOIP and as well as doing web conferences [built in] etc. The power consumption is low 27W, which is less than most lamp bulbs and operates at only 26 dB.
A perfect home kitchen computer!

Just saw this on Wired.com:

Presumably it will sell for less than the suggested MSRP.
