iDine/Rewards Network - Can't search nearby restaurants for Canadian addresses?

I was up in Vancouver the other day, and I wanted to search for restaurants near my hotel. I went to the "search nearby addresses" function like I always do, but when I got down to the "State/Province" pull-down menu, there are no Canadian provinces for me to select!!

Of course, entering the six digit alpha-numeric postal code didn't help either.

Why write "State/Province" and "Zip/Postal Code" when there are no provinces to select or postal codes to be accepted?

On a side note, I was able to find restaurants in the general Vancouver area by selecting the metro area option. I love how I was able to get the full miles based on CAD! Ate CAD $25 at a restaurant, credit card billed $20.28 due to great exchange rate, but 125 miles earned because it's based on the CAD $25 ^^

Yup! A huge complaint of mine. This happened with the new and improved website. I've complained at least a half dozen times via e-mail and phone. See post #27 here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=729884&page=2).

This is the last e-mail I sent on Oct 23:
I am unable to do searches for restaurants near a Cdn address because only States are listed and not Provinces! This happened when you updated your website 6 months ago. I have repeatedly asked you to fix this and nothing has changed. I used to be able to do searches on the NW web site, but now you have updated that site as well.

WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED????

And the response I got on Oct 26:

Thank you for writing The AAdvantage Dining program and The AAdvantage Hotel program!

We appreciate you taking your time in voicing your concerns about the new website. The new design for the website was made to better assist our members in searching for restaurants. We are currently taking concerns and having them reviewed to update the website to better accommodate our members.

For more information about our program, please contact Member Services at 1 800 479 5981 from 9am to 10pm ET, (Monday-Friday).

We appreciate your continued patience. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Please join me in voicing your complaints. If it's just me, they may never get around to fixing it.

Also, another offshoot of this issue is that Canadians can no longer sign up for the program unless they fake a US address!

Did you do that, or did you sign up with your real address before this problem?

If the latter, how does it show your address now?

And what happens if you try to search around your home address that was entered before the "new" website?

(I can certainly search around all addresses that I entered on the old website, except I have to know what they are, since they lost the descriptions they used to have. But then I never saved any Canadian addresses on the old website myself.)

I've been signed up for years, so I am still registered under my home address. However, when I try to do a search on my home address the State/Province field is now blank, so I get an error message!

We're sorry. There were no results found for your search criteria.
Please search again below.

Well I just had my first restaurant in Canada post to AA, and my it does feel great to receive 250 miles (125 regular mi + 125 VIP bonus mi) when my credit card was only charged USD $20.28 due to the CAD/USD exchange rate ^
