Starwood Preferred Guest - what happen to Z3H rate hotel list (resolved as of 11/5/2008)

I was trying to book a hotel with Z3H, but there is no hotel under drop down list.

There was no problem with any other rate plan. Anyone has same problem?

Perhaps they're making more changes to it for 2009 rates? (Just a guess.)

As was pointed out in the other thread, you can try entering the promo code (Z3H, for example) in the regular hotel rate search page on spg.com for your desired hotel. This usually has worked for me, though not always. I have encountered some times in which the promo showed as available on the promo pages but not on the regular rate search pages.

It might also be that there's no availability for this promo rate for your desired dates. When searching, your start and end dates must be set to exactly match the number of days for the desired promo code. The promo code must correspond to the proper type of property. (Z3R = Resort vs. Z3H = Hotel)

The Sheraton Salobre Golf Resort & Spa in the Canary Islands is an example that shows the Z3R offer available for this weekend Oct 31 - Nov 2 through spg.com's rate search pages. The result shows "Dynamic Rate Engine" as the rate description for EUR 170. This is the price per night BEFORE the free night discount. IOW, the total for 3 nights would be the displayed rate * 2. (170 * 2 = 340)

If it is available, I would recommend booking it over the phone since the above method does not state clearly that the 3rd night is free.

Cheap Elite, the last post in that thread implies that it was working after those changes.

The only thing that is wrong in the webpage's source code is that they left out the array of cities, states, and countries. @:-)

This issue was resolved sometime within the past week.
