Any suggestions for a good breakfast spot in downtown Indy; the Circle Centre area? Thanks!

bowdenj has the best option but if you want something a little more on the greasy spoon side..... http://www.redeyecafe.com/index.html

There's always Steak-N-Shake... ;)

Nothing better than a steak-egg-and-cheese breakfast sandwich with a vanilla coke and some tasty hashbrown potatoes...

It'll undo all those years of exercise and eating right in one (maybe two) sittings.

Good point - I'm a frequent guest at Redeye Cafe (especially when I have to do my all-nighters for Purdue/Delphi driving simulator!).

Open all night and always has interesting characters there (including me reading the newspaper).

bowdenj -- thanks for the endorsement of LePeep. It looks like a winner!

McGahat -- The Redeye may have stayed under the radar had you not mentioned that one. I hadn't come across it in my searches.

Not sure which one we'll go for. Apparently we've got two good options!

Here is the breakfast report....

We went for Le Peep.

The sausage and the potatoes were very tasty and the service was excellent, timely and friendly.

I guess I had higher expectations for the coffee...

Also, my food was by no means hot; although I did see a steaming plate served to the table next to me so apparently it isn't a consistent problem.

I have no regrets about trying LePeep but I think next time we'll give the RedEye a try.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Too late to help the OP, but next time someone is searching: try Hoaglin-To-Go (but not really to go) on Mass. Ave. It's excellent.

I used to work in the building attached to that restaurant.

I also has so-so experiences there. Sometimes it was pretty good but others there were a lot of mistakes and it was less than fabulous. Many of my co-workers loved it. I just didn't have the best luck there.

If I had seen this thread before, I would have suggested Shapiro's.

Breakfast at the Conrad is probably the best in the city.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm looking forward to trying some of these spots on a future trip!
