on the southeast corner of the Hertz lot in Orlando, where customers normally do not go, is a section where they park cars for some reason, I'm assuming they need to be driven somewhere to be filled up? anyway, I walked thru them Wednesday because instead of taking the bus to the airport, I walked out of the lot to a nearby hotel. there were about 25 cars in that section, flashers flashing, engines running! If they are waiting to be filled up, then they are burning gas and polluting. someone please tell me why these cars are left running on the lot?

You must come and go out of MCO every Wednesday it would seem:

Perhaps Hertz, in its commercial wisdom, has found this the more (labor) productive choice. Are you suggesting Florida have a law against unattended idling? Remote start cars must give you hives!

no, I never received a response from the initial post, so I copied and pasted it into a new one, hoping someone would respond intelligently.
My initial post was also about the gas prices near the Orlando Hertz Return, and that's the topic people chose to respond to.

Not really, I just wondered why they leave that many cars running, and so I asked to see if anyone knows.
Doesn't seem fiscally smart to me, but then I don't own a car rental company.
