LIAT has special fares (look at their website), but by the time they add all the taxes, fuel surcharges, and airport fees, they're always well over $100 for even a short one-way fare. Ferries are a cheaper option, where they exist. JerseyVics Oct 18, 08, 9:39 pm this is high up on my to do list to go Island Hopping in the Caribbean. of course Island Hopping on Hawaii is high up on the list too. and Country Hopping in Europe is next after that. --Russ johannesj Oct 18, 08, 11:06 pm If you choose to island hope by Air I would recommend using Antigua as your Hub. This is Liat's primary HUB. Check out their website www.liatairline.com send them an email requesting a special island hopper package. I know that a few year ago they offer two packages I believe one was a 14 day and the other a 21 day where you got to fly across the entire network. Not sure if it is still available but I am confident that they would be able to design something that would be cheaper than purchasing individual tickets. When you get to SXM grab a ferry to Anguilla and St. Barths and check out Winair for a flight into Saba and Statia. Another option would be to fly into St. Lucia and see a few islands using my favourite ferry service http://www.express-des-iles.com/ You start of in St. Lucia and get to visit Martinique, Dominica, Les Saints, Marie Galante and Guadeloupe... lovely way to see the French West Indies. Hope you find thsi information useful and if you do embark on your island hoping journey and happen to be in Antigua PM me I would be happy to meet with you and share some local knowledge... if you timing is rigth I may even be able to show you around.
