Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Taipei rebooking

I had a J ticket LAX-TPE, and SQ has rebooked it with CI (China Airlines) instead of on SQ LAX-SIN-TPE. (now that they've canceled LAX-TPE direct)

Is it crazy that I think that it should be rebooked on SQ vs. on another carrier? They don't seem to think it's possible to re-route on SQ through SIN.

Anyone else had experiences with this?

Going via SIN is a long detour. Perhaps try for LAX-NRT-TPE instead?

Right. You might even get LAX-SFO-HKG-TPE if that suites your schedule better, but I can't see them offering a reroute through SIN ... or LHR, SYD etc.

SIN is way way out of your way. I don't think it is a valid routing. :(

I had one re-routed LAX-NRT-TPE. I would call and request that.@:-)
