Asiana Club - Would you spend $200 to switch from SQ new Y (77W) to OZ C (333) for ICN-SIN?

I have a small dilemma. I booked 2 Business Class award tickets from SFO-ICN-SIN and at the time of booking the only thing available from ICN-SIN that didn't require an overnight stay at ICN was by taking SQ new Y on their 77W.

Well now it looks like availability has opened up on the ICN-SIN leg in Business Class on OZ. It will cost $200 to reissue the 2 tickets.

Both flights arrive within 5 minutes of each other. Do you think it is worth paying $200 for the switch?

Part of me wants to switch to OZ just so that it will be an all-OZ itinerary on the way there so that our checked bags won't have to be interlined. But moreover I'm unfamiliar with the service and seat amenities in this market on either carrier.

Your thoughts?

From SQ Y to OZ C? I would say its absolutely worth $200. I prefer OZ service to SQ, and the OZ 333 seats are great for a five or six hour flight (although not quite the SQ 77W seat).

The last few hours of long haul travel is always the toughest. I'd pay the $200 to change to a business class seat. Besides OZ A330 are new!

One word of advice: go to the Asiana site (English version of Korea country site) and check the schedule to make sure it's really an A330. I booked an OZ ticket and all sites showing 747 for ICN-HKG-ICN. However, OZ site shows that it's a A330 outbound and B763 inbound. My TA seat maps also reflect A330 and B763.

You're really saying $100 per ticket. That's a no-brainer IMHO.

Definitely a no-brainer. Do it and don't think twice.

OZ A330 has a similar type of seats to SQ Spacebeds and I found it perfectly comfortable to sleep in. You'd definitely want to sleep after the SFO-ICN leg, and you do not want to be stuck in a Y seat for that segment.

That, plus OZ is a very competitive product anyway - good seat, good food/wine and good service. Definitely worth the $100 per person.

Go directly with OZ.

Do not pass GO.

Do not not pay the $200.

Jump on it while the seats are still available! I don't see how this is a dilemma.

$100 upgrade per ticket is almost always worth the money for a flight light this especially when you are upgrading to a nice business class like OZs.

This isn't BKK-SIN or SIN-KUL. ICN-SIN is not a short flight.

This truly, absolutely a no brainer. You might get unlucky with the aircraft type, but C on OZ is extremely good. Worth far far more than a couple hundred dollars on such a long flight.
