The Caribbean - Liat Airlines, What and Why??????

Not too long back we took a flight from SJU to POS then from POS to GEO and back the same way. I think each time the flight attendant on Liat had to "spary" the intertior of the aircraft. What was it that she was spraying???? And Why????? Did we have bugs???
