Hello guys

This is my first time trying to rent a car regarless or any company. I am going to Colorado Vail from California for a week Dec.16 thru Dec.22. It is a group trip with 8 people plus luggeges so i figured we needed large suvs such as Yukon XL or Expedition. I put on hold for Large suv around John Wyane Airport in Irvine , California and representitive told me it would cost around $960 include tax and 21-24 underage fee and reliability.
I was wondering if thats a resonable and if i can use some Coupons to lower the rate. Any other route to make my rate lower?
It seems like no coupons for Large SUV or am i wrong?

Any sugesstions or help would be thankful.:p

Similar to the Hertz Prestige and Fun classes, it's very rare that there are coupons offered. You actually might be better off trying to secure a Prestige vehicle and using discount code HPC1 and see what you get.

Also, are you doing a one-way rental or round trip (I think you're doing a round trip, but I don't want to assume). If you're doing one way, it's going to expensive regardless.

With 8 people plus luggage, I'd really recommend considering a 15 passenger van. That is a long drive, and a van will enable you to stretch out a bit more and also likely be considerably cheaper.

Explore all the agencies. Enterprise, for example, has a cheaper underage fee, but they might not allow you to drive to Colorado -- you should check. Finally, if you have any flexibility, renting not from the airport will save quite a bit of money as well.
