Asiana Club - New Award Ticketing Deadlines

Asiana will change ticketing deadlines for awards on 1st November and will move some of the current Diamond Benefits to Diamond Plus.

Still very generous than other airliners, which is usually 5 days from reservation.

I know it's been some time since this thread has been active, but I'd like to chip in and say that the award ticketing deadlines only apply when you reserve your award from Korea. If you reserve one from outside Korea, i.e. US-Korea, Europe-Korea-Austrailia, etc..., there is no deadline -- you can actually ticket it on the day of departure, right at the airport.

One problem is when OZ does not have a ticketing counter at the departure airport, i.e. ORD. In that case you have to fax in a form authorizing OZ to deduct your miles and one more phone call to make sure they process it.
