Mind you the right hand side has 3 seats (whereas the left hand side has two seats in C - it's 3-3 in Y). maxmin Oct 7, 08, 3:17 pm Thanks - I thought C was 2 and 2 seats. It is 2-3 all right on SA domestic, not a Y seat, a bit bigger and more pitch as well (nowhere near the international offering though). As far as which side is concerned (on take-off from CPT): If you take off in a Southerly direction (which is the prevailing direction in summer), right is probably slightly better than left. Taking off towards the North (prevailing in winter), left is definitely beter than right as you should be able to see the City, the mountain and Table Bay before the aircraft banks to the right (althougn with a Northerly there is a lot more chance of cloud / rain). If you are into game theory, I would therefore suggest you choose left, unless you can choose at check-in and you know what direction they are using (which is easy to see once you are at the airport). |
