I have a 6 hour layover in ATL. Figured I could hop on MARTA to see something for a few hours.
It would be on a Saturday afternoon/early evening.
Is the aquarium easily reachable by Marta?
Other ideas?

I use MARTA when ever possible in Atlanta, much easier than dealing with traffic. Here's a nice clickable map http://www.itsmarta.com/getthere/schedules/index-rail.htm
If the timing is perfect you might be able to catch a matinee of Wicked at the Fabulous Fox - 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Checked this only because the Fox is Fabulous - a great theatre. Caught Tom Waits there earlier this year. Use the N3 - North Avenue Station stop.
Looks like the Aquarium is a few blocks walk from the N1- Peachtree Station stop.
Here's a link I came across with some additional info on some of the stops:

Enjoy!

Thanks, this is perfect information. Haven't strolled around Decauter, might have to do that.
Unfortunately, I will miss the matinee at the Fox.

Regional shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza is at the Lenox stop (NE branch of the North-South Line)
