I'll be flying into SAN for the first time and using Alamo as always.. What types of midsize cars do they use? Is it Impala's like they have in PDX?
One time I was lucky enough to be given a free upgrade to a Prius for no extra charge with a standard midsize reservation.. I typically drive a couple hundred miles on that trip so it saved me a fortune in gas! Is that typical, and has anyone else gotten that as well?

Er, are you suggesting that the National location at SAN has now been combined with Alamo?

No, I believe they're still being kept as separate entities in most locations.

Then I'm going to ask the mod to can this thread, to avoid confusion with the main (National) SAN thread.

I'm going to move it to the "other rental car" forum since the request to add alamo to the national forum wasn't ever seriously considered.

I am also going to SAN and was thinking about using Alamo. If anyone knows what kinds of rentals are there, it would be a big help.
This is my first post, so I think I'd better go to the Community forum and introduce myself too:p. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.:)
I'm flying into SAN next Friday and yesterday updated an Alamo reservation with a UA contract ID.
Compact; 4 days; double miles; $24 ai.
