The Caribbean - Providenciales, Turks anc Caicos

We are going to Provo in less than six weeks, actually will be spending ten nights/11 days there. First question that I have is does the Turks and Caicos stamp passports upon entry to the island????? Second, is ten nights/11 days a long long time to spend in Provo???? Should we try to get away for a day or two to Puerto Plata or something like that??? Neither one of us have ever been to Provo, so wondering what it is like. Thanks, JAMES.:rolleyes:

Thay gave us an actual stamp that clues to you passport page when we were there 6 years ago. Very pretty stamp at that.

10 days does sound like a long time but you could explore some of the other islands in the chain. It is a beautiful island.

I will be most happy to let you know how Turks is-we leave in about five weeks. We are flying US Air from SYR thru CLT to PLS> We find US Air always does a good job for us. ;)

Are you a diver? If so, you won't be bored. If not, why not take the classroom PADI classes prior to the trip and do your check out dives on arrival in Provo. The diving is fantastic.
Ten days would be too long for lots of people (not me, I'm never bored when I'm near beautiful white beaches and clear turquoise water)... if you don't want to dive then definitely check out some of the other T&C islands.
Where are you staying? Seems like I saw that one of the recent hurricanes had a direct hit on the T&C islands?
