Asiana Club - 2 Miles for every $1 spent! WOW!

Just signed up for the Asianan Bank of America AMEX and got approved. They offer 2 miles per every $1 spent. WOW! What a great deal! I've always wanted to fly overseas first class. Maybe my dreams will come true soon!

"still" meaning they used to give mileage for reward tickets before? I would be surprised if they really did. Anyway, as for now, reward tickets definitely do not accrue mileage. That you can check with Asiana's website where it explicitly excludes reward tickets among others.

Plus, the two miles for every $ spent is not as good as it looks since Asiana has quite a bad burn rate for miles.

Totally agree, their rewards require a lot more miles than other airlines.

An example HKG to US
Y: 85,000 on OZ but 60,000 on UA
C: 125,000 on OZ but 90,000 on UA
F: 170,000 on OZ but 120,000 on UA

50,000 miles difference when you use miles on OZ than UA when flying F, does anyone want to waste all those miles by flying and using the credit card the buy stuff ? Not to mention on OZ not all fares in Y get 100% actual miles.
