Just seen some comments about how many flights people take a year.

Out of interest how many flights are people out there taking a year?

For me so far this year:
5 NZ Domestic
51 International
56 Total

Not sure that I will break my 2005 record of 82 this year, looking at current schedule, I should do about 75 this year.

I don't take all that many in a year.

30 this year
2 international (NZ)
4 within US (on AA)
24 domestic (20 of which NZ)

and still no where near getting any status

Another 3 domestic and 2 international to go. All on NZ.

2008:
New Zealand domestic (QF/NZ): 20 sectors flown so far, 2 more booked.. probably more later.
International (many airlines): 46 sectors flown so far, 6 more booked... probably more later.
YTD BIS: 121,186 (139,464 planned so far)
2007:
New Zealand domestic (QF/NZ): 11 sectors
International (many airlines): 61 sectors
BIS: 133,681

2006:
Haven't counted properly (my ba97 only goes back to June), but I'd guess it probably has more domestic sectors and about the same international as 07.

Requalified for NZ*E last month and not too far away from UA 1P.

Just over 400 last year, but will be much less this year. YTD is about 200 I think.

Do people use services like flight counter or ba to do this?
I would have to look up my FF programmes but I would say I average 2 flights a week, generally a FIFO trip. At WLG QP Dom now on my way to PER via SYD....a sign of a FTer?;)
Asked at the door why I did not take the 06:00 QF118. My reply was this was the third day this week where I had to fly so I wanted a sleep in.;)

Well with less than 20 flights this year it's not that hard to remember :(

But I did use ba97 to check a few of my past flights this year. Not really accurate though as I always forget to put flights on my ba97.

I use BA97.com for the flight counting. For location based tracking/social networking, I have been using dopplr.com.

I'm up to 68 flights this year. Probably another 10 to go. This will be the most I have ever flown in a year.

I will end the year with 112K miles BIS and a total of 59 sectors.
27 on NZ (11 international, 16 domestic)
22 on UA (all domestic)
10 on NW (all domestic)

More than twice as much as any previous year. One gets used to it :)
