Air New Zealand Air Points - Xmas Day On NZ

Im going to be flying to Aussie on NZ on Xmas day and im wondering if they do anything different?.

They turn on the reindeer avoidance radar and system!:p
What class and aircraft type are you flying?

My one (ancient) data point on this is a 1991 Christmas morning flight WLG - CHC and they served Christmas cake.

Always a good story to tell Americans who think fruit cake is funny.

Generally economy class we serve a chocolate santa on the tray, and in business class Christmas mince pies and christmas cake. That's about it!

On christmas day I'd expect 744 trans-tasman flights to be operated by 777s.

Yea i was expecting NZ136 to be a 772 but then again the seat map is slowing a decent load and the 772s are problay prewty much tied up now that they will be runing NZ1/2 at this time of the year.

On Christmas Day they are still operateing the 3 normail flights on AKL-BNE.
