I booked a 3 day weekend special using BCD 111800 and a Costco free weekend day coupon.
What has been your experience with using a BCD that does not match the coupon? I am used to Hertz where they take the coupon price off the final price before it totals. It seems with Budget, they take it off when you turn in the car. It seems like one would not know if the coupon will apply until one turns in the car. I would prefer to know ahead of time is there is a problem with a BCD/coupon combination. (with Hertz, CDP=BCD & PC=coupon).
I have a Hertz ressie that is a couple of dollars cheaper (than the Budget ressie w/o coupon deduction) because I know I won't have any coupon hassles. (I have printout with Hertz that shows discounts & free day coupon already deducted).
What are the chances that the free day coupon be deducted at return?
Thanks for your help. :)
P.S. I am trying out Budget for the first time in several years. I checked on www.delta.com to look for mileage earning opportunities before my 28K miles expire on 12/31. I saw the up to 8K bonus. Last night, I booked a intermediate SUV for 1 day, picking up tonight. 7500 mile bonus. Approx $47 ai. Not bad for 7500 miles. ;)
