STL-DCA resumption was announced today by AMR. There will be three daily flights starting on October 26, on American Airlines -- not TWA.

Service will increase to 6 daily flights on December 2.

Greg -- I'm not sure that the statement "No more TWA service to DCA" is quite right. AA.com still shows TW flights STL-DCA in November (along with the AA ones).

This is from the AMR press release:

American to Resume Reagan National Service on Oct. 26 to St. Louis and Miami

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to the U.S. government's decision to allow an expansion of service at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, American Airlines today announced that it will resume daily nonstop service on Oct. 26 between Reagan National and Miami, and restore service between Reagan National and St. Louis that had been flown by TWA. American will serve the Washington-St. Louis route with three nonstops daily, increasing the service to six flights a day on Dec. 2. On the Washington-Miami route, American will begin with three flights a day and increase to five flights daily on Nov. 1.

Because Reagan National can be served only with airplanes of 156 seats or less, American is operating the Chicago service with 86-seat Fokker 100s and the DFW flights with 129-seat MD80s. American will begin the Washington-St. Louis route with Fokkers on Oct. 26 and switch to the MD80s on Nov. 1.

Don't forget that INTEGRATION is happening. Remember at one point all TWA flights will become AA flights. Now, some routes are being expedited. It's funny that I see Super 80s at JFK now. Before there was only 2 a day, 1 to BOS and 1 to DFW. Now, they have a couple sitting around Terminal 9 for service to STL. Things are changing. Plus, these flights are on AA too.
