Hyatt Gold Passport - Which OHare property is close to a blue line station?

We are arriving at OHare late at night. I want to chose a Hyatt that has a shuttle service from the airport. Then, in the morning, I want to be within a short walk to the train station, or have a hotel that gives shuttle service to the train station. I'd like to avoid having to return to the airport.

Is there a Hyatt property that meets these criteria?

The OHare property (not the Rosemont one) is about 3-4 blocks from the Rosemont Blue line station - so its walkable (I wouldn't call it short though). Not sure how far the Rosemont property is from a station though.

Only the HR O'Hare. The hotel practically looms over the station, but you'll have to walk all the way around the property to get there. (It's only 500' as the crow flies from the platform to the atrium, but over half a mile walk distance. Give your thanks to suburban traffic engineers.) The HR Rosemont is a mile up the road, and given the area's magical ability to multiply distances I can only imagine how far a walk that is.

Thank you. That's very helpful information.

It's crazy that the planners of the hotel or the station didn't take advantage of their proximity - and unfortunately, this isn't the first, nor will it be the last example.

The problem is that the station is in the middle of a huge freeway (between the two traffic directions), so I guess it would have been very expensive to build a bridge just for Hyatt customers. I didn't think the walk was too bad, but I've only done it during periods of decent weather.

I've done the walk quite a few times and haven't found it a problem when dragging a roll-on bag. The Rosemont hotel is much further away - only stayed there once and then switched since you would otherwise take the shuttle back to the airport and then catch the train from there

A very good suggestion if you are planning to be in Chicago in the dead of winter. Will about 20 or so minutes to your trip RT (with the trip to/from the airport and the backtracking of stations) but well worth avoiding the biting cold winds IMHO. Since the shuttle stops at the O'Hare property before the Rosemont property it doesn't allow taking the shuttle from Rosemont to O'hare.

The Hyatt O'Hare is much closer to the El station but a very large and conference oriented property. The Hyatt Rosemont is much smaller and quieter but too far out of the way in my opinion if you plan to use the El often to/from the hotel.

If staying at O'hare, walk to station. Or, you can take shuttle to airport. Shuttle runs O'Hare-Rosemont-airport. Last stop at airport, which is also the pick up spot (excluding international flights) is where the train begins its trip to the city.
