Has anyone been in the new Asiana F lounge at ICN?

I understand last month OZ opened a new F & C lounge complex with all the bells and whistles.

I'll be there next week and was keen to learn if anyone has experienced these?

I was in the lounge last week. It is a much bigger space than the old F lounge although the amenities seem to pretty much the same. They have a little sit down area next to the buffet, although the food seems unchanged from the old lounge. They also have a piano in the lounge - not exactly sure why. On the afternoon that I was there, it was very hot in the lounge but definitely cooled down as soon as the sun began to set.

Do they have sleeping rooms in the new lounge?

No sleeping rooms -- only a small room that contains two, if I recall, massage chairs.

if you have some time to kill and would like to sleep, there is a bonded hotel within the arrival area, inside the customs. Means that you can book a room by the hour or 6 hours etc.. until you catch your connecting flight. Extremely reasonable. Make sure you check your luggage through final destination, as you won't have access to it. Pack a change of underwear, whatever in your hand luggage!

I think that there are more than two massage chair. The F lounge is huge. The quality of liquors is great (e.g. JW BLUE). Food is excellent.

I just had a nine hour layover in ICN and got to know the OZ F lounge very well.

Pretty comfortable with decent food and booze selection. I would have preferred something better than Moet though...

So, what's the story on sleeping rooms/day rooms? Also, how are the showers?

I guess the question would be, if you had the choice of staying in the airport's transit hotel or the F lounge for 6-8 hours, which would you choose?

There's a massage chair room that's nice for a brief nap. They have also just completed a "home theater room" with four cubicles - each with a recliner, 42" plasma screen and headphones - that would be good for a snooze too.

I assume you're departing for N.A. in the late afternoon, so I would recommend relaxing/napping in the F lounge and then getting 4-5 hours of sleep on the plane overnight.

The shower rooms are quite nice also.

If you can get to the F lounge, why spend extra money in a transit hotel ?

If you get bored, you can get to the C lounge, and the SQ lounge as well.

SQ closed their lounge in ICN and the OZ C lounge is nothing special.

I am annoyed that my OZ flights don't offer F seats, so that now I'll have access to only C lounges in ICN and HKG.

Which destinations in Asia, short haul, offer F? I think my flight ICN-HKG has one service with F but not the other. I'm booked on the latter as the layover would be ridiculous otherwise.

I will want to get a few hours sleep, which is why I asked about sleep rooms/day rooms in the lounge.

For example, the F lounges in Frankfurt (LH), ZRH (LX), and HKG (CX) have those rooms. I'm still wondering if Asiana's F lounge offers them.

Also, I will be transferring from the JFK flight (in F) to the PEK flight (in C). Am I correct to assume that I would in fact have access to the F lounge?
