Mexico - Cancun Hotel questions

I've got a conference in Cancun, which will be held at the Intercontinental Presidente. How far from there is the Hilton Golf and Spa, and what would be the best way of getting to the conference hotel each day if I stay there. I'd like to collect miles for my stay, hence the question.

It's far. On this map (http://www.travelyucatan.com/cancun_hotel_map.php), Presidente Inter-Continental is # 22 at the north end of the Hotel Zone, and Hilton Beach & Golf is # 66 way down at the south end. The Hotel Zone is pretty long, you are looking 6 to 8 miles between the two hotels, I would think.

You have a choice between taxis and buses. Buses cost less than $US 1.00 (I think it's around 6 or 7 pesos), and run up and down the hotel zone. Probably looking at 30 - 40 minutes trip.

Taxi would take less time, maybe 10 - 15 minutes. Prices vary, ask your hotel what they think it'll cost, and ask for a quote before you get in the cab.
