TWA FFB/Aviators - Hilton / Marriott points count towards elite?

There have been many discussions on this board about Amex MR points and Diners points NOT counting towards elite status (though hotel stay points and car rental points do count). Has anybody moved over miles from either Hilton or Marriott and know if those count towards elite status?

Your mindset is still with FF programs, not Frequent Lodger programs. Points do not count towards Elite status, stays/ nights do!

Check the Hilton board for really good status deals, though.

DOC 2 BE -- freakflyer is talking about the TWA Aviators Elite status, not hotel's.
