TWA FFB/Aviators - AMEX miles and TWA

My wife and I each have 20,000 miles in TWA and we have 15,000 points on AMEX. We don't have any miles with any other airline and I wanted to know if I should transfer miles from AMEX to TWA now hoping they will be allowable on AA?

When they transfer your TWA miles into the AA account, they will not ask where they came from. They just transfer.
