Just rented from Fox last week and figured I'd provide a recap to anyone who's interested.
I rented over the weekend and got a reservation online for $18/day for a PT Cruiser convertible.
Fox is located on Las Vegas Blvd a couple of miles south of the strip. You need to take the rental car shuttle to the new consolidated RAC facility, and then the Fox shuttle picks you there. They said the shuttle comes every 10-15 minutes.
Their facility is basically a lot with one of those trailer type buildings. They just opened in the last month. Some of the employees are a bit slow as they are new, there were also some employees brought in from other locations to assist.
The car was a red 2008 pt cruiser convertible with 17000 miles on it. They gave the typical offer of insurance which I passed up. No issues with the car. Upon return, you had to go inside to finish processing. I had no issues in terms of charges. You then take their shuttle to the consolidated RAC and the next shuttle to the terminal.
I would say you definitely lose a lot in convenience, but you can get a really good deal so as long as you know in advance the time it will take it could be worth it. Also, you don't pay the $3/day RAC facility fee that all the others who are actually in the RAC pay. I was very happy to get a convertible for two days for under $50 all in.
