Air NZ has changed the e-ticket pdf. Now split into 2 pdf files. One that has a graphical look showing flights, payment info, pax names, baggage allowance, e-ticket number. The second showing the rules.

No :(

It is the usual story of looking pretty but being less useful.

Good for people who have absolutely no clue what they are doing and who misread 0100 as 1300 etc.

More or less useless for everyone else.

Just looking at it again it doesn't even say what type of fare E.G Global Saver.

Yes. Pretty, but little useful information. I checked the confirmation email again to see if there was anything else useful on it - just links to services (along with the attached pdf files).

My e-ticket (received yesterday) says under the "bags" section that I get one bag free. Is the system not smart enough to recognise that I have Koru status & therefore get 2 bags? Have others seen this too, or is it just me?

Mine said the same.

If you retrieve the booking on the Air NZ website (provided you are an AirPoints member and made the booking online) it shows the broad booking classification e.g. "Global Saver Fare") and a link that opens a window with the high-level rules for that fare.

That is unsatisfactory. Even amongst bookings made online I am often unable to access them (eg due to schedule changes or other activity on my booking made by NZ). Furthermore, sometimes it is necessary to know the actual booking code not just fare type. It is annoying to have to call NZ to find these things out.
