Travel Technology - Praise be to GMail - 1001 SPAMs and counting...

Started about 6 hours ago - a dirty rotten spammer has been using my email address (ie a dictionary spammer (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=50200#)). My sent items is clear - so no nasties on my PC.
So far the bounces, out of offices, verification etc replies are over 1,000 and 2-3 per minute still coming.
Of these - 7 have made it into my Inbox, the rest are in the SPAM folder.
I shudder to think about 1000 SPAMs, in my Inbox, if I was still using my old email provider...
My only concern - will my domain be blacklisted?
Your domain should be OK. Have you set up a SPF record for your domain? That can help reduce the ability for others to send as you.

err SPF? :)
Thanks for the tip. Went to the godaddy control panel, bit of twisting and turning, and added aspmx.googlemail.com in the TXT field.
Currently at 1,206....

...all from TigerDirect. :p

If you really want to force no other systems to be able to send as you then you should add "-all" to the end of the TXT entry.

Once you alerted me to this oversight, my choice was hard fail (-all) or soft fail (~all) - the DNS control panel automatically added the ~all, and I'll see how that goes as a starting point.
Here's what Google has to say:
How do I set my SPF records? (http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=33786)
Thanks again for your thoughts and time. Despite my best efforts FT always seems to give back more than I can put in!
