Hi

Am looking to redeem my Asia Miles for the first time.

I am looking to fly CNS-AYQ-PER, on QF, with a stop over for a few days in Ayers Rock.

Would this be possible: any extra miles charged over and above the 20k for the standard CNS-PER routing?

Is there a minimum lead time on these bookings: it is a week and a half until i want to go. Is this sufficient?

I've booked NGO-TPE-HKG once and to my memory it is the summation of the mileage rather than the direct. but you do not need to ticket them seperately.

Be aware though that Asiamiles has certain restrictions as to where you can or cannot stop even though its 'along the way'.

I tried to stopover in BKK on a YVR-x/HKG-BKK-SIN ticket and was told that Asiamiles does not consider BKK a stopover and that I can only stopover in HKG.

In my previous experience, the best thing to do when someone tells you that is to either 1. tell that person's wrong and get them to check, or 2. hang up and call again for a different agent.
