Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Best Seat for 773F?

I'm in the process of booking my first flight in the 773, CX 830F HKG-JFK. This seems to be much harder to figure out than the 747s, which were relatively easy. I much prefer a window seat. The right is the galley side, so I assume that I want one on the left? How about first row versus second?
If anyone has flown this type and would share some opinions, I would much appreciate it.
Thanks.

There have been ongoing discussions and debates about the relative merits of seats 1A and 2A, but suffice it to say that you definitely should try to snag either seat and avoid the center or right hand side seats because of the traffic and privacy issues. Some say 2A is more desirable because there is less noise than in 1A, but I've not been bothered by noise in 1A since the galley is on the right side and the toilets are way up front and there is a heavy curtain separating the cabin from the very front of the aircraft. Personally, I prefer 1A since I don't want to worry about what's going on behind me in the bulkhead and first few rows of J class.
You won't be making a bad choice with either 1A or 2A.

I think 2A can not be grabbed except on the day of departure as it is a bassinet seat.

FWIW, I have 2A reserved for a Dec 21 flight.

It (2A) can be reserved in advance, but on the understanding that if infants turn up you will need to change.

Many times I tried to grab 2A when I make my booking online, but the system always block it for me :(

Ah, yes, but MPC will certainly make it available as mentioned, at least for those with some status.
