Hilton HHonors - Two stays same days one airport one downtown

OK - staying at airport DT on a day rate as early arrival then going downtown to Hilton - would both stays count ? I think yes, DDesk not sure,awaiting response...

If you were to physically check into one in the morning say, stay a few hours, then check out and go check into the other one... say 'because you wanted to rest up before going downtown or something..' I think that would work...

However, you could just check into one, stay the night, then check into the other one the next day and not actually spend the night?

Got credit for 2 stays on same night once.

Staying in one Hilton property in Chicago. Left in the morning and spouse remained in first hotel. Checked in later in the day in San Diego. I had to call DD but I go credit for both stays.

It worked for me in reverse a few years ago during my 7 crazy days (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=388543) (which included double inaugural on the longest flight SIN-EWR-SIN (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333373)). During a 3/5/7 promo I was 1 stay short of qualifying for my 3rd free night certificate and had an evening flight out of SFO. After I checked out of Hilton SF I did some stuff in the city and then checked into one of the cheap airport hotels, had a shower, and checked out. I got stay credit for my ~1 hour stay and qualified for the extra free night. I did not need to call to get the credit.
