Title says it all. want to go from USA to HKG then make a stop in China and then back to USA, but can't book it all on CX.com

You'd have to go to aa.com to do that or through a TA.

You can book using multiple destinations/stopovers through the US version of the site. Perhaps you are trying to book some sectors with some mainland carriers in between that are not available through the booking engine?

I think OP's problem is return from China to USA. On cx.com, there is no direct flight and OP has to return via HKG.

I am trying to book this:
BNA-LAX-HKG on Feb 19
HKG-XIY on Feb 23

I get this message everytime from Cathay:
We are unable to find departing flights matching the criteria you specified. Please modify your selection and try again. (9100)

I tried doing it on AA and they are unable to process the ticket.

I want to do the one-way (multi-segment) in Business Class. I will be paying cash for it.

Any advice?
