Hilton HHonors - Putting HHonors Number on American Express Card - Possible?

Anyone have their HHonors number printed on the Hilton AMEX Platinum card? I just called AMEX, and the rep said they don't put the number on the card. This is a bit strange. I would imagine it very convinient to have the HHonors number printed on the branded credit card. Anyone have it?

Citibank puts the HHonors number on their Signature VC (call the toll-free number and request a new card with the HHonors number printed on it).

Do you really need your number that often? Just about the only time I need it is when I call the DD (I really wish they had a feature like with United where they recognize you based on your phone number). Everything else I do online.

Why not just print it in 8 point font on a clear label and slap it on yourself?

^ I think it's a good idea. AMEX does this for COSTCO.
