Anybody ever use this service to get from airport to hotel? Rio recommends them but I'd like to hear from unbiased source. Thanks:)

ahhh... what are your immediate concerns? ;)
I'm not really sure why there are so so many questions about it, but travel from LAS to any of the Las Vegas Strip (or slightly off strip locations) has truly got to be one of the easiest airport to hotel trips in the entire world.
Yeah, there is the occasional "tunnel" issue, but even a long haul in Vegas to the strip is only going to cost one $5 to $10 extra. (It's not like a long haul say, from JFK to New Jersey, or even Manhattan)
So, don't worry so much about getting to your hotel, it's going to be fine (believe me :) ) instead, spend the time worrying about how you are going to extract $$$$$ out of the casinos. :D

All shuttles have a bad feature: you wait until they fill up before departing--sometimes as much as half an hour:td:; I have a recollection of using Showtime to get to Paris, I had to wait nearly half an hour for them to arrive and then another half hour to fill up. [Harrahs had a check-in area at the airport for most of their lv properties and they let me charge Showtime to room.]
Executive seems to be reasonably efficient--though they are not "affiated" with Harrahs (MGM uses them.)

With rental cars between $10 and 15 per day, I have chosen that transportation method for my last 4 trips...

I am concerned with being stuck in a too small vehicle with too many other travelers. Also, is the luggage service good? Do they take circuitous routes that make the trip longer than it has to be. Do they 'group' travelers to nearby hotels or do they simply stuff them into the closet vehicle, regardless of destination?
I guess what I want to know is: Are they efficient?:confused:

I've taken the shuttles run by CLS and another one, don't remember the company. They group those going to the strip on one bus and another for downtown.
If you are going to MGM, Mandalay or The Hotel it would be likely the first one or two stops and is a good cost-effective option if traveling solo. Otherwise it can be 5-7 stops before reaching say Venetian.

my guess, is that it's a big YMMV, depending on the other riders of the specific shuttle. To "me" efficient is going from point a to point b directly. Of course, if we're talking intermediate stops which earn you frequent flyer miles (like traveling through 3 hubs on a mileage run); well, that's a different story. :p

I can't either - it would be cheaper to take a cab to/from the airport to the Rio than to pay for two shuttles fares and wait. You can essentially get from the airport all the way to downtown for $20 including tip . . . (Note - the last time I did this was January, think there's a new surcharge that would add about $1.50).
Note - there is a thread about tipping the guys with the luggage carts; they can take you to the front of the taxi line if needed. I've never run into an inefficient taxi queue there, though (anything from walk-up to 5 minutes).

I've seen parties of threes and fours take a shuttle to MGM or Paris. Definitely more expensive than a taxi.
