I'm looking to redeem some airmiles, and for starwood hotels it's telling me I need to pick the appropriate Starwood level from 1-5. How with out calling airmiles can you tell what level the hotel you want to stay at?
(Looking at the starwood properties around/at Toronto international)
Thanks.

Do a property search. In the address box immediately following telephone is the SPG redemption category 1-7. Click through to the main page and the category will also show (and points or points range per night) at the lower right.
The way 3Cforme mentioned is the easiest to find out what category a hotel is. Keep in mind that Air Miles availability is capacity controlled and so you might have to call in and be a bit flexible.
BTW, for the benefit of others who may find the OP a bit unclear, Air Miles is a consumer loyalty program operating in Canada and several other countries. It is not directly backed by any airline, but the Canadian program is closely aligned with WestJet.

I like sc flier's Google Earth application for Starwood hotels (http://www.journeysearcher.com/js/starwood.html). Once you open it, you can zoom in on Toronto and find all the Starwood hotels in the area. There will be a little flag on each property telling you the category.
You can then check back in the hotel master thread list to find discussion on the hotels of interest to you.
