anyone notice the change in cx's online ticket purchasing? might have taken into consideration comments from the last survey and multiple complaints i made

can't check seats before purchasing anymore

hope they start taking into consideration one's MPC status when trying to purchase online.

I tried a dummy booking earlier today and was able to see seat availability without paying. There was a link on the page you enter your payment details, similar to before.

Yes, have been looking at it this morning to book a few tickets. I feel like the site isn't fully functioning yet - seems like it has some new features/links, but using the old screens.

Lets hope that the final outcome is something as user friendly as other major airline websites.

You can still select seat, on the Payment page (before you pay though).

I don';t see much difference in the functionality, though the graphics are different.

I wondered about that- seems a little different, though I started using Google Chrome when it came out, so wasn't sure if the new layout was because of that! Seems a lot faster, though, it could be Chrome again. Is there nothing Google can't do at the moment?

Seat selection function is ok, but I would prefer it to come up where you see the aircraft type during the booking- especially if there are a nubmer of configurations of the same a/c that fly the route- such as 330 or 747- it is a pain to get to the last stage, and find that the flight doesnt have new business class, and then you have to go back and choose another flight.

I tried to book HKG-ICN search by price for end October/early November but there is no availability . I have to change to search by schedule in order to get the flights detail list on that date. Maybe it is still not perfect working.

One interesting thing I noticed is that it's now possible to purchase infant-in-arm fares online. As I recall, before you had to call in for this.

Looks like they are playing with the live version of the CX website. It is different today - different function, such as "search by schedule" and "search by fare" selection on the main page. Yesterday there was a "flexible dates" option.

Yesterday there was even an interesting link on the main page that said "Test ...." (with someones name!).

They need to be a little bit careful playing with the live site.

I was trying to price a YVR-HKG-YVR ticket in F and the new booking system booked both legs in in "J" , while quoting the F price!!

Those of you that found the new site faster are indeed fortunate. I've tried Google Chrome, Explorer and Firefox and find I have to wait 5 mins plus to get to the select flights screen. I also can't search by fare - only schedule. All very frustrating.

Interesting...only fares showing are Y booking class...

Also found some new verbiage...Guess each booking code has a corresponding text description.
