I just realized that my 500 bonus miles for spending over $150 per month haven't posted in the past two months. RN and AA were fairly consistent in posting these after one month from the time you reached the $150 level, but they haven't shown lately. No status was changed on AA or RN, still maintain PLT and still am a VIP member on AA Dining.

Did they drop this bonus?

It was still on the list of Platinum offers when my PLT status renewed only a few days ago, but you had to register once for it, I think. Perhaps you hadn't registered? Still, since I haven't yet spent the $150 I can't tell you if it worked.

I checked AA Dining and it said that I'm already registered. Actually, it reads: "Already have an AAdvantage DiningSM Login ID? You automatically are eligible for this bonus."

I don't think so. I think the AA site wording is confused. What you have to register for is not the bonus itself, but AADvantage Dining online. (Ie, I think they will not award the bonus to people who earn AAdvantage Dining miles but have never registered at the AAdvantage Dining website.)

In my case my June $150 spend posted on my August statement (I wasn't paying attention, so I can't say when, just during my August statement at AA), so it's only the July $150 that hasn't posted yet on my current (to be September) statement at AA.

But I'm not sure it's exactly a month later. I think it's a month plus one week at least. (Multiples of a week since RN to AA transfers only take place once a week, and bonus sweeps at RN only take place on a similar weekly cycle.) And in my case, I didn't get to July $150 until the very end of the month, and the plus a week would put into Labor Day, which could have delayed things yet another week.

Mine was earned on 7/16, yet posted at the same time.

So much for kebosabi's theory that it posts a month after. If you make the $150 early in some months and late in other months you'll realize that it's not a simple correlation like that.

I would think they do periodic "sweeps", and if those sweeps are rare the exact time you cross the $150 will have little to do with when the bonus posts.

(The bonus is attributed to the date you crossed $150. But when it's attributed to and when it actually posts are two completely different issues.)
