Couldn't find anything on search, but I received this email a few days ago. I do stay twice a month at a Doubletree in central Michigan, so perhaps that's the reason?

I received the same email. Everything is the same, except mine is missing the sentence, "Plus, between September 19 and December 15, 2008, you'll earn double Hilton HHonors® Base points for all stays at Doubletree Hotels worldwide."

Another example of loyalty does not pay...

I too received the offer. Although I have a DT booked within their double points timeframe, I reserved it just prior to receiving the email offer; hopefully I'll get the double points.

If it is targeted, maybe it's to those members whose activity has dropped off somewhat? With my travel budget nearly eliminated, Diamond will be difficult for me to secure so I'll probably only make it to Gold this time around.

I received the same offer as the OP. This is good for me as I have two lengthy stays at DT that fall in the offer period!

Another promo, another unselected Diamond... What else is new. :rolleyes:

I managed to qualify on the 9/1 end of rolling tier cut off, now I'm riding on Diamond status through 4/10/10.

Let me say, the match to SPG took 26 hours and on average, I'm enrolled in two promos. Right now I'm even in a FT only promo for 500pts a night. And a new promo comes out next week which is supposed to be very lavish.

I miss HHonors, I really do. But frankly, having to scrap for points really makes me wonder if I'll be back to Diamond beyond 2010.

I've been a diamond for 5 years, and have NEVER been targeted for a promo. I've called and been enrolled, but every time been told it "was an exception" and that I wasn't targeted.

Agreed -- I've been SPG Plat and HH Diamond for the same amount of time, and in those four years, the promos with SPG have been numerous. In contrast with HHonors, this is actually the first promotion I've received, and it's at a time when I'm already doing frequent HH stays! :confused:
