Hello guys,
I'm considering signing up for Diners Club before my upcoming RTW trip because of the international lounge access they offer.
Now what I'm wondering is, does the Diners card offer you free lounge access for all these lounges? Because when you check their Airport Lounges directory it always says "Cardmembers please check with your issuer for terms and conditions of lounge access" and often in addition to that something like "Guests HK$180 per person per visit.". Is this fee only for guests you bring with you?
Thanks for your information!

Thanks for your information! You have to check with your issuer.
Your issuer may have set a minimum limit for card use before you can get free access to the lounges. Otherwise you may be charged a fee which may or may not be the same as the guest fee.

Thanks for your reply!
I called their dutch helpdesk, but I don't have the feeling that they know at all whether I would have free access or not. The girl assumed that I would have free access but didn't have any information on it..

The girl assumed that I would have free access but didn't have any information on it..If the help desk didn't know and if there is no mention of a fee on the Dutch homepages, then it is probably ok for you. The only thing I can think of is that (if I remember correctly) you, as a Dutch cardholder, do not have access to the lounges at your home airport, AMS. This is some special Dutch restriction.
This is mentioned in a thread somewhere on this Forum.
