I'm assuming there is some sort of shuttle that can move passengers from the new Northwest terminal (sorry, I don't know the name) to the terminal where UA flies out of.

Wanted to see how long those shuttles usually take and what the frequency of them are.

Thanks in advance!

Detroit has two terminals -- north and south and if you're coming in at the north terminal (NW, CO, Delta) you'll have to go to the transportation center and take a shuttle (or a cab) to go to the other one and will have to go through security again.

It isn't walkable and I would allow at least two hours between planes to make the transfer.

If you are going from the NW terminal (McNamara) to the UA terminal (Smith), you can pick up the shuttle in front of the Westin hotel on the ticketing level.

During the day the bus runs about every 15 minutes, less frequently later in the evening.
