Dined in Hawaii 2/07/03, miles posted to AA account 2/20/03. FAST!!!!
I thought Idine ran batches at month end & miles posted to airline account the following month. Did I miss a post on this?
If anyone is in need of quick miles, this might be their answer.

But sometimes they don't post at all. I waited about a month on one, before emailing them the receipt. A week ago I got an email saying it would post in a few days, but still nothing.

I was amazed as well. Never have I gotten miles within the month of dining. Two restaurants showed up. We'll see if the couple after that show up.

I have to concur. I dined at a restaurant on 12/20 and the miles showed up on 12/26 or so. Not even a week later.
Nice Christmas present.

I think they do post monthly, like clockwork, towards the end of the month which might explain the rapid postings. They are running this much smoother than the early days where they took longer to post. All of mine have posted more consistently than they used to. The only one that did not post quickly was actually Continental's fault, but when I called CO, they fixed it and the miles were there the next day.

My experiences with Delta show that my miles usually post in the 1st week of the month following activity. I'm expecting my February dining miles to post around March 4-6.

On Feb. 21 I finally got a 500-mile bonus for taking my acct. online & dining during Nov./Dec http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif. I had complained about the missing bonus in late Jan., but no one at Idine nor UA had a clue what I was talking about http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif. They told me to remember the promo name/code next time so they could look it up.

I presume you are talking only about the email notification from idine. My experience with Delta/NW idine programs had been that the miles actually get reflected to your account only in the first week of the next month. I also notice a couple of times that if you dine on orafter the 30th of a month, it does not get added in the next month. Yo need to wait one more month.

Don't know anything about email notification.
Miles posted to my AA account on 2/20 after dining on 2/7. In the past they have always posted in the month following my idine visit.

I'm surprised to hear this. My Idine from 1/7 just posted last week to CO. Definitely not faster.

I've got 3 JAN iDine transactions (as shown on the iDine website). They still haven't posted to CO. I guess that they'll eventually make it.

All who are saying their miles are posting faster, is this to AA accounts? Could it be idine and AA now have a direct feed? (is that a pun?) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I just called Idine yesterday inspired by this thread. I was told that Idine had improved its connection with AA, AS, & HP to post weekly http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif instead of monthly, with more airlines to follow. Too bad not yet DL, therefore Feb. dines can't put us over the top to transfer to HHonors http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.

Understand from a previous post and confirm this is not the case for Skymiles Dining (Delta) & Dining for Miles (NW). They are still being posted ona monthly basis.

The dining miles posted quick, but still missing the AA Platinum '3 restaurant in one month' bonus from January and February.

Speaking of the iDine "three in a month bonus" that AA Platinums receive, does anyone know if a similar bonus is also given to AA Golds? I'll be "dropping down" this year. :-(

The 500 bonus is good for AA gold as well as platinum.

I'm currently using UA for my iDine. Slow as molasses. I get e-mails usually about 2 weeks after the dine, but they often take a month or longer to post in my UA account.
But I always get them, and UA run's good promos, like the current 7-5-3 Bonus (http://mpdining.idine.com/site/member_support/whats_special.jhtml?content=BONUS).

Well 2 meals posted with a couple of weeks, but now is the time AAidine usually posts on aa.com and two meals are missing! When I e-mailed idine about this they said it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to post. I said the response made no sense since all the other meals had posted, even those after the particular missing meals. Go figure!

I agree, except I get the notification e-mail anywhere from 1-3 days after the visit. Once I had the e-mail when I got back from lunch. Actual posting is 1-2 months later. 7 times in two months, and my favorite restaurant is with iDine...no problem!

Can anyone share experience with posting time frame to US? Weekly, monthly, annually? (Hopefully "annually" was a joke.)

So it looks like monthly, the first or thereabouts.
