Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Hong Kong Lounges

Flying into Hong Kong and wanted to use one of the lounges, but I am flying coach on Cathay.
Any suggestions?

Your profile indicates you are an AA EXP, which is equivalent to oneworld Emerald. If that info is correct, you will have access to the F section of the lounges. Enjoy!

Are you looking for an "arrivals lounge"? I don't think you can get into either of the CX lounges as an arriving passenger. If you're looking for a departure lounge they have two. I have photos of The Wing linked below.

For arriving passengers there should be a commercial lounge landside that opened recently. Or the Regal airport hotel connected to the terminal has a sauna & showers plus pool against a fee

CX passengers now have three departure lounges to choose from at HKG: The Wing, the Pier and the G16 (former Dragonair) lounge, located near Gate 16. I can confirm that lounge invitations now list all three options on departure.

has anyone tried to tested the G16 lounge. How is it compared to the Wing/Pier. I dont suppose there are any pictures around ?

I have not been there for more than a year and a half, ever since I found that I can go to the Wing/Pier instead. I don't know if anything has been changed (besides the name). It had only limited facilities. There were a few computers to get on Internet, but Cathay WiFi was not available there (at least then, but you can get on using PCCW). There was pretty good wonton noodle soup. The seats were very comfortable. Overall, it was still a very nice lounge.

The Cathay magazine says it has been overhauled to give it a consistent look/feel with the other two lounges. That said, I haven't been, so am really not sure how extensive the changes have been.

I was there a week or two ago...but frankly I don't quite see too obvious differences vs. the KA lounge before - the only "look and feel" change obvious to me is the sign outside the bathrooms...which is more consistent with Wing/Pier and other CX lounges e.g. TPE/PVG/etc now. other than that, really not quite sure what's been changed...

The ex-Dragonair lounge can get very crowded as AY and several other airlines put their business class passengers and lower tier "elites" there. Those pax alas who cannot enter the Wing or Pier.

The location is good, however, for many mainland China flights.

You can try G16. If you don't like it, you can go back to the Wing.

At any other airport I would consider the ex-Dragonair lounge pretty good. But of course CX has raised the bar rather high with the Wing/Pier.

I dont thnk the wing/pier is anything to write home about
