Hi,
I'm flying for the first time with Asiana from Hong Kong to SFO in 2 weeks, and have read on multiple forums that Asiana provides passengers with long layovers with either a complimentary hotel room or city tour in Seoul?
Is this true, and if so how do i go about arranging this?
For your information i am travelling Y and i arrive in Seoul at 5:30am and depart again at 4:30pm.
Thank you for your help!
Is your ticket full fare bucket full Y? Not that i know much about asiana procedure but if you are in a discount economy... i will be very surprised. o.o
I have similar case: arriving in the evening and connection in the morning. Both OZ flights on one ticket with OZ stock. (SFO-ICN-PEK). RBD: V Can I get free overnight stay from them`? I know with TK one can always get, even in Y.
I am also interested in the overnight support. I have SFO-ICN-PEK connection in some weeks and I would appreciate having free stay somewhere. I am in economy class, all tkt on OZ stock with OZ metal flights

If you wind up with the long layover and can't get free trans into Seoul, you could just spring for the KAL bus service whch is maybe $20 r/t. Or, if you have military ID, U.S. Army Korea runs a free bus to Yongsan Garrison which is right next to a subway station...

We had tickets in economy going PNH-ICN-LAX in late June. We were told that for layovers of at least 8 hours, pax got either a transit tour or a hotel (we took the hotel - IIRC it was a Holiday Inn, near the airport; they also provided shuttle van transfers and a free lunch in the hotel restaurant).
We told our travel agent in advance, who communicated to OZ that we wanted the hotel. We were not given a voucher, but were just told to contact the OZ transfer desk at ICN when we arrived.
