Air New Zealand Air Points - intra NZ award flights all zero

i have been looking at doing a quick hop back to NZ(during the first 2 weeks of September) and am actually finding award seats in business to AKL from LAX but no seats to ZQN, DUD or IVC. CHC has some openings but i need to get to the southern tip of the island. is the ANA tool often incorrect with this lack of availability? am i missing something? any help would be appreciated. thanks

It's ski season - not surprising there is no award availability as flights to/from this area are fairly full.

Have you checked all the southern airports served by NZ? Invercargill (IVC), Dunedin (DUD), Queenstown (ZQN), Wanaka (WKA), Timaru (TIU), Oamaru (OAM).
