Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Asiamiles being dropped from RBC rewards?

I just got a hold of the welcome booklet for the RBC Visa Infinite Avion. As part of the core benefits on the first page it reads, "The flexibility to transfer RBC Rewards points to the British Airways Executive Club program." It makes no mention of Asiamiles at all. :(

I called and the service agent said you can still transfer to Asiamiles. But I remember what happened when AA got dropped from the program - it was a sudden announcement and no grandfather period.

Does anyone know if this is just a typo in this booklet? Or is it them getting ready for another drop of transfer options by getting rid of Asiamiles?

I'm sad if it is. I like the YVR-JFK and YVR-HKG route a lot. ;)

Probably a goner... that's exactly what happened with the AA transfer.

Hello Flyaow:

May not be a typo, RBC does have different reward cards, apart form the "Avion". here is the link to RBC's site to compare the BC and CX award.

They have said pretty specifically on the phone that you can still transfer from the Avion Infinite to Asiamiles. I'm just worried that the printed brochure "knows" what is coming soon?
